Having a community pool is one of the greatest pleasures of living in Summertree and, for many residents, was the deciding factor on where to buy a home. The pool is a popular gathering place to relax with friends and get acquainted with neighbors and we encourage everyone to make use of it. We have invested a lot recently to insure that the pool and the surrounding area are safe, clean, and something that we can be proud of. As a community of friends and neighbors it is important that everyone does their share to protect this investment and avoid actions and behavior that would diminish these benefits or cause unnecessary expenses.

The pool is strictly reserved for Summertree residents and their guests and is fenced for the safety of our guests and the security of our investment. Please do not open the gate for people that you don’t know and please teach your kids that it’s not safe to let strangers into the pool area. Parents/adults are required to accompany children under 12. Please do not use the pool area as an unsupervised drop-off point for young children. For the safety of our kids it is important that residents maintain custody of their pool key and don’t loan it out to friends who are not residents of Summertree.

The pool rules are posted on the fence and shown here as a reminder to everyone that certain behavior is unacceptable and that respect for others is required. Please respect the pool area as a family-friendly place. Be careful of the language you use, be discrete about your beverages, and monitor your kids to assure that they are not engaging in behavior that might be offensive to others. Please clean up after yourself around the pool and in the restrooms so that the neighbors who follow you will be able to enjoy their visit as much as you enjoyed yours. The new pool includes a separate shallow pool for infants. Young children who are still in diapers are required to wear swim diapers to protect their health and the health of other swimmers.

If everyone who uses the pool will follow the pool rules and show common courtesy for others the pool area will continue to be an enjoyable and important part of Summertree life.

Gather some friends and get some exercise on our tennis and basketball courts but please remember that this is a family and child-friendly area that is only for the use of our residents and their guests. Be courteous to other users and to the families in nearby homes by cleaning up after yourself, keeping the noise level down, and following the posted rules.
